Lianne C. Sullivan-Crowley
Lianne Sullivan-Crowley is a human resources professional with over 25 years of experience in leading human resources functions and coaching leaders in higher education.
Lianne worked at Harvard University, Smith College, and Princeton University – leading the human resources function at both Smith and Princeton.
Over her seventeen years at Princeton, she led the transformation of the Office of Human Resources into a premier HR function in the academy. Upon her retirement, the President of Princeton University noted that “Lianne Sullivan-Crowley has changed Princeton for the better. Throughout her time at this University, she has kept all of us focused on the value and well-being of Princeton’s staff. She has modernized our human resources office, built a superb team, and served as a strategic partner on many crucial decisions. I am grateful for what she has accomplished and for her exceptional colleagueship over the 15 years that we have worked together.”
Lianne, who spent a career caring about “the human in human resources” has been recognized for creating and nurturing strong and effective strategic partnerships and for her leadership in helping to frame and execute Princeton’s response to the 2008 financial crisis and the 2020 global pandemic.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Sullivan-Crowley holds a law degree from Suffolk University Law School and was a member of the Massachusetts bar.
